I grew up in small town called Naawan where you can experience nature at its best with a lot of sunshine, clean beaches, green fields, trees and mountains.
Basically, I am just a very simple person that experienced a normal, healthy childhood, went to a public school during my elementary days and finished with honors due to my excellence in Science as most of my teachers say. I finished my secondary education in with flying colors and took up BS in Biology. But unfortunately I am not that good in mathematics, so I shifted to BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management enhancing my artistic and culinary skills.
Immediately after graduating I worked in a prestigious hotel at Boracay Island as a front desk officer/receptionist. I can say that I have found out that I have a talent in writing accidentally. I started writing articles with the main objective of earning additional income. However, after a few months of getting into this kind of job, writing becomes more personal rather than just plain business. As a writer, finding the right topic to write about may be a difficult task, but as I learn to love this job, it becomes easier as the days go by. In writing about a certain topic, one must be inspired to do so in order for the ideas to just come out naturally. You must also conduct some research as well to know more about the topic that you are writing about. And to make it even better, it would be nice to have a hot beverage beside you like a cup of coffee or tea.
In my case, I prefer to have a cup of tea specifically “Ginger Tea” or commonly known here in Philippines as “Salabat” rather than coffee. Well, I believe that teas are healthier to drink than coffee. One night while thinking about what topic to write about, the cup of tea beside my laptop captured my attention. So I told myself, why not write about tea? Well, it seems to be a good idea so I started writing about it. I remember the first article I have written about teas, it is about its history, kinds of tea and the reason that most people prefer to drink it rather than any beverages whether hot or cold. Aside from drinking hot tea, I also enjoy drinking lemon iced tea as well. And as I write about it I found out that tea drinking and tea writing have something in common, and that is both of these activities are fun and totally satisfying.
Well, I believe that in writing as well as in tea drinking, having fun as well as satisfaction is very important. Both in writing and tea drinking, you must love it to enjoy it. Well, I love drinking teas whether hot or cold and have also learned to love writing as well. These two make a great combination and brings out the best in me as a writer as well. I also love reading articles about tea in particular which further inspires me to write about it. And as long as I love drinking teas, I will never stop exploring and writing about it.
